Are you thinking of becoming pregnant? Are you feeling pressured to start a family by those around you but you are unsure? Are you recovering from a loss (perhaps of a previous pregnancy or of a parent) that is making the decision to get pregnant more difficult? Are you having trouble conceiving and are experiencing a roller coaster of emotions?
Counselling during the pre-conception phase can help you reach a state of clarity and acceptance that may make your passage through this time a little bit easier. Many people struggle during this time with issues about relationships with their parents, their partners, and themselves. Sometimes the opportunity to explore these issues with an objective, non-judgemental counsellor can be the key to helping you move forward.
Here are some examples of the types of issues that people face which lead them to seek pre-conception counselling. This is not an exhaustive list – you may see yourself in some of these quotes or you may be experiencing completely different issues. Either way, please give me a call and we can talk about how I can help get you started on the path to a more fulfilling and positive experience.
